What is a CT Scan?

Computed tomography, or a CT scan, is a type of x-ray. It takes pictures from different angles and combines the images to create detailed 3D views of the area being scanned. A CT scan is non-invasive and safe for people with implanted devices (like a pacemaker).

  • CT Upper and Lower extremities*
  • CTA Extremities

*Excludes Arthrogram studies

Computed Tomography Angiography, or CTA Scans are also available.

When is CT used?

CT images provide greater clarity and more details than conventional x-ray images. The 3D aspect can also help your doctor make a more accurate diagnosis.

How much does it cost?

All Tellica locations offer the same flat rate pricing for imaging so you always know what to expect. Tellica CT scans cost $350 (or less with some insurances). For comparison, the cost of a CT scan in a hospital setting varies widely, typically costing you between $400 and $3,500.**
