Prepare for Your Appointment

On the day of your appointment, we ask that you arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment to allow for registration and preparation.

At our office, Tellica Imaging staff will greet you and help you prepare for your scan. The scan itself is quick and painless, and we will guide you through every step.

Here are some guidelines:

Arrive 30 minutes before your appointment time
Do not eat for 1 hour before the exam.
Drink plenty of clear fluids (water) in the hour leading up to the exam.
You will need to change into a gown for metal safety protocols.
Leave jewelry and piercings at home if possible.
Remove eyeglasses, hearing aids, dentures, and underwire bras before the scan (metal can affect image quality).

Some CT scans require contrast dye. Our team will inform you if this is necessary and discuss any potential allergies you may have prior to scheduling.

Following your scan, you'll be free to leave and you will receive results within 1 business day on our portal. Your provider will be sent the radiologist report directly to discuss next steps with you.

Billing Information

Tellica Imaging is committed to transparent and affordable pricing. We offer flat-rate pricing for both MRI and CT scans at all locations and we accept many insurances.

We understand that cost can be a concern and strive to keep imaging accessible and affordable.

All Tellica Imaging locations offer flat-rate pricing for imaging, so you always know what to expect. For comparison, hospital imaging costs typically range from $500-$4,000 for MRIs and $400-$3,500 for CT scans.

Please note that in order to keep our prices this low, payment is due at the time of service. We accept most major credit cards, debit cards, and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) cards. We will bill you for any additional charges after your scan. If you have any specific financial hardships, we can work with you and provide an interest-free payment plan.
